Fraternal Order of Eagles Sabine Aerie #2523 and The American Legion Lloyd Grubbs Post 49 teamed up for a Benefit for The City of Refuge on November 12, 2011.  Yvonne Trahan spearheaded the event that raised almost $8000!    Congratulations to Yvonne and team for a job well done.

2012 Spring District Convention date is set for Saturday, April 21st.

From the Commander:  "The Post has formed a committee to address this function. We certainly need the help of the Auxiliary and Sons of the Legion. Much talk and activity toward this will be coming in the near future and I ask for all your help and suggestions."

The  City of Refuge in Vinton, La.:  This is going to a very rewarding project for all involved.  Veterans helping Veterans are not just words, it's a Mission Statement for us all.

Since our charter in 1920, our American Legion Post has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces.

Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in over 90 years of our great organization.
